Food Program
At Dandelion, lunch is provided! Each day will consist of a breakfast-snack from 9:30 to 10 am, a full lunch at noon, an afternoon snack from 3-3:30 pm. Breakfast will include a grain -- like bread or cereal -- and fruit and milk. Lunch will include milk, fruit and/or veggies, a grain and a protein (such as chicken, fish, beans, eggs, nuts or cheese). Afternoon snack will include 2 of the following 4 choices: milk, fruits or veggies, protein (may be cheese, yogurt, eggs or nuts) and a grain. Check out the sample menu below.
When families register at Dandelion, we will determine allergies and food replacements so that all children are kept safe and healthy by the food program. Please don't send any food to school with your child, unless arranged in advance. If Dandelion enrolls a child with a serious nut allergy, we will become a nut-free center. Other life-threatening allergies may result in changes in the program as well, after discussion with the families.
